Talent pool

Talent Pool is a free service that Alfred users can add to their profiles.

To register for the Talent Pool, your profile must be 100% complete, and you should provide detailed information that helps potential employers find you.

Talent Pool can enhance traditional job searching by bringing job opportunities directly to you from a different angle.

With Alfred, you now have two methods for finding a job. Let’s compare these two approaches to understand the differences better:

Job Seeking

Talent Pool

You keep an eye on job openings on Alfred and apply using your profile whenever you come across exciting opportunities.

Companies are allowed to view a selection of profiles that match the qualifications and requirements for a specific job.

If your application stands out, you will receive an invitation for a job interview. If the interview goes well, you will be offered the job.

If your profile is a perfect match, you may receive an exciting offer to consider a new job opportunity. If everything goes well, you can accept the job.

Note !!! Building the Talent Pool takes time

In the first phase of setting up the Talent Pool, we’ll be getting Alfred users to update their profiles. The benefits won’t be obvious right away and it’ll take a while to train companies on how to use the pool effectively. Keep in mind that job offers for profiles won’t start coming in until a few months down the line.

A great option for people who already have jobs

The Talent Pool can be a new resource for you and other Alfred users. This service is perfect for people who are currently employed. You never know—there might be a job out there that suits you even better than what you’ve got now, like a higher salary, better work environment, or just closer to home. Keeping the Talent Pool active won’t hurt; you’ve got nothing to lose!

Questions and Answers:

How does Talent Pool work?

You register your profile in the Talent Pool and allow companies to contact you with exciting job opportunities.

What information about me can be seen in the Talent Pool?

Employers only see information relevant to the job. Your profile picture, name, and other personally identifiable information are not visible until you agree to view the job offer in more detail.

Do all companies get to view my profile?

No, only companies that have access to the Talent Pool receive information indicating that your profile matches the job in question.

Can I exclude companies from contacting me?

Yes, you can exclude companies from which you do not wish to receive job offers (for example, your current employer) by adding their ID number to your exclusion list.

Can anyone sign up for the Talent Pool?

No, to register, you must be at least 18 years old and confirm this through electronic identification. You also need a fully completed profile that includes information about your professional ambitions and preferences regarding location, working conditions, salary, etc.

Can the Talent Pool help me find job opportunities that are not listed?

Yes, that's the idea! Companies can purchase access to the Talent Pool instead of advertising their job openings. This approach allows Talent Pool to streamline the hiring process and save time that would otherwise be spent on processing applications and other related tasks.

Is it faster to find a job through the Talent Pool?

No, probably not, especially at the beginning. If you need to secure a job quickly, it's best to continue monitoring advertised positions and submitting your applications.

Is the Talent Pool a better option than traditional job seeking?

It can be seen as both yes and no. The Talent Pool offers a convenient way to receive job offers with better pay and hours. As more companies use this method, it will become more efficient for users seeking opportunities.

When can I expect a job offer through Talent Pool?

Talent Pool requires patience. After registration begins in summer 2025, it may take several months for the first job offers to be made. The number of offers you receive will depend on your qualifications, labor market demand, and other factors, so some users may get many offers while others may receive few or none.

Is there a difference between the Talent Pool and setting the Alfred "Job Watch"?

Yes, there is a difference! When you sign up for the Talent Pool, companies can reach out to you with job offers. In contrast, when you set Alfred to "The Watch," you receive notifications about job ads that match your profile on Alfred. The Talent Pool showcases your skills, while "The Watch" helps you search for jobs.

Can I unsubscribe from the Talent Pool?

Yes, absolutely! It's very easy to activate or the Talent Pool. In your profile settings, you'll find a switch that allows you to turn the Talent Pool on or off whenever you want. The only question you need to consider is: Why would you want to do that?
